Dr. Heba Mostafa is an Associate Professor of Pathology and Director of the Molecular Virology Laboratory at Johns Hopkins. She is also an editor for the Microbiology Spectrum Journal, an editorial board member for the Journal of Clinical Microbiology, and an associate editor for the Journal of Clinical Virology.
Dr. Mostafa received her M.B.B.Ch in Medicine and Surgery, and Faculty of Medicine from Alexandria University in Alexandria, Egypt, where she also completed her residency in Clinical Pathology. She received her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Kansas. After completion of her Ph.D., she completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in infectious diseases at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Dr. Mostafa then completed a CPEP-approved Medical Microbiology fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
