Dr. Dan Rhoads received his MD degree from Texas Tech University and Health Sciences Center and completed a Pathology residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He then became Director of Microbiology at University Hospitals Medical Group in Cleveland, Ohio while also an Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University, in the Department of Pathology.
He is now a board-certified clinical pathologist and medical microbiologist who serves as Director of Bacteriology and Section Head of Microbiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He also serves the College of American Pathologists as vice chair of its microbiology committee. His academic interests are broad within the field of clinical microbiology, but much of his work is in the area of novel diagnostics and therapeutics.
