Education: Education is the primary goal of the Southern California Branch of the American Society for Microbiology (SCASM).  With an exceptional faculty presenting talks that focus on some of the latest developments in microbiology, we encourage you to considering attending the SCASM Annual Meeting, now in its 88th year!
Scientific Exhibits
During the Meeting, you will have an opportunity to visit with nearly 50 companies that provide products and services to your laboratory.  Ample time will be allowed for you to visit the exhibits to learn about the latest innovations related to diagnostics in our field.
Networking: The SCASM Annual Meeting provides numerous opportunities for you to network and socialize with microbiologists from around the Southern California area.  In addition, many of the speakers remain for the entire meeting and will be available to answer your questions before or after their presentations.
CEU Documentation: SCASM is recognized by the State of California as an Accrediting Agency for Continuing Education for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.  CEU credit is available to all registrants, with the exception of student registrants.  To obtain credit, you must sign in at the beginning of each session and remain for the duration of the session. A total of 12 units may be earned if you attend the entire two-day meeting.
